Fibromyalgia is perceived in ayurveda as vata imbalance, vata is the main imbalance and aggravated vata destabilizes the central nervous system and create hyper sensitivity leading to pain and tenderness. We know that all our patients have two major problems, pain and fatigue. Our medicines have the ability to concentrate on managing pain, depression and other symptoms common in fibromyalgia in an attempt to break the cycle of increased sensitivity to pain and decreased physical activity.

Our Immuno Deficiency Research
Screening of various plant extracts used in Ayurvedic medicine for inhibitory effects on human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1) protease. To identify substances with anti-human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) activity in traditional medicines, water and methanol extracts of drugs used in Indian traditional medicine (Ayurveda) were subjected to screening for their inhibitory effects on HIV type 1 protease (PR). The enzyme activity was determined by HPLC and out of all ayurvedic medicines, the extracts of the seeds of Areca catechu, the bark of Eugenia jambolana, the bark of Saraca indica and the stem bark of Terminalia arjuna inhibited the HIV-1 PR activity by more than 98% at a concentration of 0.2 mg/mL. The most potent inhibition was shown by the A. catechu extract, from which some procyanidins were isolated. One of them, arecatannin B1 showed significant HIV-1-PR inhibitory activity. Out of all these, we successfully developed our wonder drug for Immuno deficiency..
Hazards of Modern Medicine
Harmful effects, which can be serious and even lethal, are associated with every facet of modern medicine... Iatrogenic illness--disease produced as a result of medical treatment--is now recognized as a health hazard of global proportions. MEDLINE (the computerized medical research database of the United States National Library of Medicine) includes over 7,000 articles, reports, and scientific research papers since 1976 that show a substantial number of patients suffer treatment-caused disorders and adverse drug reactions. These harmful effects, which can be serious and even lethal, are associated with every facet of modern medicine including drugs, other medical therapies, diagnostic procedures, and surgery. Injury from medical treatment in the U.S. accounts for more deaths than all other accidents combined. Detrimental effects have become so extensive as to prompt the use of the term "iatroepidemic ". Reporting in the Journal of the American Medical Association, Dr. Lucien Leape of Harvard School of Public Health, has calculated that "180,000 people die in the U.S. each year partly as a result of iatrogenic injury, the equivalent of three jumbo-jet crashes every two days ". In another issue, the Journal of the American Medical Association points out that injury from medical treatment in the U.S. "dwarfs the annual automobile accident mortality of 45,000 and accounts for more deaths than all other accident.Medication caused disorder costs are nearly twice that spent on diabetes treatment and near the amount for cardiovascular disease. For example, the Archives of Internal Medicine reported a cost to the U.S. economy of $76 billion in 1995. This amount is nearly twice that spent on diabetes treatment and near the amount for cardiovascular disease . Iatrogenic disease can be due to many factors. These include: errors in prescribing or administering drugs and other treatments; accidents; inappropriate use of diagnostic or therapeutic measures; and the intrinsic potential for harm and side effects associated with medications, surgery, and other proceduresEvery medication, including those that are sold over the counter without a prescription, has an associated side effect. Commonly used drugs have been found to affect every system. Frequent reactions include skin rashes, nausea, headaches, dizziness, lethargy, diarrhea, and gastric bleeding in a significant number of people. More severe reactions that can be fatal or severely debilitating include deafness, depression, abnormal heart rhythms, angina, bronchospasm, electrolyte disturbances, immune system dysfunction, serious blood disorders such as aplastic anemia, liver or kidney toxicity, Stevens-Johnson syndrome, or anaphylactic shock. These occur in a statistically significant proportion of the population. Despite what is known about adverse drug effects, Dr. David Kessler, Chief of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, believes that "only one per cent of all serious drug reactions are reported . The problem escalates to public health proportions when large numbers receive a treatment and experience its attendant side effect. The New England Journal of Medicine makes this point in discussing the link between breast cancer and menopausal hormone replacement therapy: "because of the high incidence of breast cancer even a slight increase in risk will yield a substantial increase in the number of cancers10". The scale of use causes drugs which are considered safe to end up producing significant damage. In this regard, the widely used non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs cause over 3,300 deaths per year and 41,000 hospitalizations. Many drugs have side effects serious enough to cause a secondary disease warranting its own intensive therapy. An example is Parkinsonism caused by the neurological side effects of anti-depressants or anti-psychotic medication. A Harvard Medical School study showed that drugs were the real cause of the original symptoms in 37 per cent of elderly patients who were treated for Parkinson's disease. L-dopa, the medication used in treating these patients has its own severe side effects, that often require the use of additional drugs to control. Other examples of new diseases caused by medications include collagen vascular disease produced by blood pressure medications, and Cushing's syndrome produced by prolonged cortico-steroid use. The New England Journal of Medicine has published several studies linking cancer chemotherapy to the later appearance of new malignancies . Many drugs are classified as teratogens and cause birth defects when taken during pregnancy. Others can cause diseases in offspring in later life. Unfortunately, these effects may not become apparent until many thousands of women have taken a drug which had been enthusiastically introduced and promoted, the classic example being the tragic epidemic of birth defects in Europe due to thalidomide, or cancer in the children of mothers who took diethylstilbestrol. Overuse of antibiotics has produced resistant strains of formerly susceptible micro-organisms. Serious concern has been voiced about the potential for epidemics which cannot be effectively contained due to drug resistance. An example of this is the emergence of tuberculosis that is resistant to presently available drugs. A U.S. Congress Subcommittee found that in one year unnecessary operations were responsible for more than 12,000 deaths. Studies also show substantial inappropriate and overuse of surgery, and continued use of outmoded operations. A U.S. Congress Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations into Unnecessary Surgery found that in one year, there were approximately two million unnecessary operations, responsible for more than 12,000 deaths, with an approximate cost wastage of $10 billion . Dependency on high technology is a often a source of injury. Dependency on high technology both in diagnosis and treatment has been shown to be a source of injury with machine failure or misapplication of technology. For example, 36 per cent of iatrogenic problems in intensive care units were associated with equipment malfunction Only 15 Percent of medical therapies were found to be reliable, or scientifically based. In addition, medical care is often based on much less scientific evidence than assumed and undergoes radical reversals. The editor of the British Medical Journal revealed that only 15 per cent of all medical therapies have a scientific basis or have been demonstrated to be effective . Yet patients remain vulnerable. An example is the formerly common use of irradiation for enlargement of the thymus in infancy, a condition now recognized to be normal. This treatment has recently been shown to cause cancer in later life in those who received it Pharmaceutical companies push physicians to prescribe new drugs and don't reveal scientific information that opposes the use of that drug. Pharmaceutical marketing also puts great pressure on physicians to use new products. The medical journal Hospital Practice pointed out that pharmaceutical company competition "leads to very aggressive promotion and inundation of the physician with data supporting the use of each new drug". Such marketing may dilute opposing scientific information that is not as well publicized. Ultimately drugs may be withdrawn, but only after substantial harm has been done. For example, benoxaprofen, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agent (NSAID) was introduced and heavily marketed in 1982, but then withdrawn after cases of fatal liver toxicity were reported in Great Britain. Zomepirac sodium was also "aggressively marketed as a safe analgesic", but withdrawn after a year and numerous reports of fatal anaphylaxis. The cardiac drugs flecainide and encainide, heavily promoted to control abnormal heart rhythms, were then withdrawn years later after scientific studies showed they caused fatal arrythmias and that those treated with them were two-and-one-half times as likely to die as were those taking a placebo. .The wealth of data has made clear that fundamental deficiencies exist in the current medical approach and that new knowledge is urgently needed. Physicians and patients have come to accept medical hazards as a necessary price to pay for modern diagnosis and therapy even though they may be seriously debilitating or lethal. The same is true with medical errors. Studies have shown errors to be so pervasive that mistakes are considered to be an inevitable part of the medical system, giving rise to the term "necessary fallibility". The deplorable acceptance of disease or medical error as a consequence of treatment reflects a deviation from the most primary principle of medical ethics--primum non nocere--above all do no harm. The wealth of data documenting the serious nature and extent of the hazards associated with modern medicine has made clear that fundamental deficiencies exist in the current medical approach and that new knowledge is urgently needed to effectively address this problem. This is where our research / Ayurvedic Alternative Medicine come into fore…..

Fibromyalgia
I am a cordinator for a group of Ayurvedic yogis who is specialized in health, harmony and hope. As they don't have many communication with outside world, I help them to mediate. They have a mission to educate and eradicate the world of this unnecessary fibromyalgia pain. In Ayurveda, fibromyalgia is known as Mansa dhatugat mansavrut vata..it is described as vata imbalance, vata aggravated destablize the nervous system and can create hypersensitivity and tenderness of muscles. Accumulation of AMA or toxins and shorotorodha are also contributory factors. Panchakarma is an effective treatment. Their treatment last from 14 to 21 days, no surgery, external and internal medication. If you want to know more about the treatments, we will help you...

what is Karma..?
What is Karma?
I guess the first thing to consider is, what is Karma? I think of Karma as the emotional content of memories. Karma in action is re-acting to previous memory experience. Re-acting as opposed to responding. The expression, "once burnt, twice shy" describes it well... the negative emotional memory of pain from the past, causes a reaction in the now.
Whether you see the glass half-full or half-empty... your unique personal ego-perspective... depends on the whole previous positive or negative experience you have had of full glasses and empty glasses, etc. When these emotional memories are cleared, there is simply a glass with some liquid in it, and no need to make judgments. How you respond to the glass will depend entirely on the needs of the now, not on programmed re-actions from the past.
Negative experiences create limiting beliefs, that we cherish as "lessons"... like, "nice guys finish last", or "life is hard then you die". Our beliefs create our experiences that is Karma manifesting. Some people think they need to hang onto the Karma until they get the lesson from it, but that is an ego-trick showing lack of faith. You have to give up what you think you know, to make room for new information. That is why Zen Koans are so confusing.
Believing in a need for lessons is an attachment, and ego-illusion. Have faith. If Spirit wants you to know something, synchronicity can make sure you get the message. An email, a line from a movie or a song on the radio will resonate with wonderful meaning, if you are open to hearing it and not blinded by preconceptions. Chuck the blockages, make room for Divine insight. All of our opinions and beliefs do not define the infinite, and by surrendering them we make room for something better. Every time you ground yourself, separation-beliefs erode and are replaced with the Knowing that is Unity.. know nothing, be everything.
Judging Karma bad or good is illusory... both are attachments. "Maybe good luck, maybe bad luck, time will tell". We are not big enough to know all of the ripples from any action.
What we call good karma is usually the bright memories... but those take one out of the now as surely as the bad ones, and they can become an addiction that keep you in the past or the future, out of the Now. Like Alzheimer patients who have retreated into their happy childhoods, and abandoned the Now... or the compulsive gambler trying to recreate that one "lucky" win. However, it is the stuff we judge as bad karma that most likely we are most in a hurry to be rid of.
It is by the emotional content of Karma, that we discover it. I find I watch people as I speak with them, and I notice the movements of their energy body as they re-act. Most often I see what look like grey cloudy abstract shapes that approximately correspond to muscle groups, and have threadlike conections that trace the acupuncture meridians. Also muscular tension, what Wilhelm Reich calls "body armoring". Muslces are held tight around the memory of old wounds. If I am doing it by remote I will use empathy to unify with the person I am working on, and feel the stuff in my own body. Usually, as mild physical discomfort that draws my attention to what areas need clearing.
For example, if I am dealing with someone who has a lot of power chakra issues, I might feel a tightness around the bottom of my ribs like I cannot take a deep full breath, or a knot in my stomach, or an ache in my back... I observe the sensation with detachment, not resistance... it just Is... and get an idea of the size and shape of it. Get a handle on it, so to speak... so I can give it away.
If I am feeling fancy I will follow the connections it makes thru the body. Most stuff will make a complete circuit up and down of the body, where it is feeding on the energy meridians... with my attention I might trace a stomach knot's threads down one leg and thru the foot into the earth, back in the heel, up the back of the leg following it's own path to the boulders and around one side of the head, and back down the front to the knot. However, usually I am too lazy for that, and instead just ask Moomkambika Devi for everything attached to the knot to be removed as well.
My work is *faith* based. Anything you believe in, will work, if you put faith in it... It is the mustard seed, that is the key. The more you do this kind of work, the more you believe you *can* do it, and that is the difference. Mookambika Devi provides, according to how much you allow Her to, by your faith.
Creative visualization fueled by K. is quite a power. Self limiting, too, since I cannot use it to accomplish what is not Divine will.
Actually, I don't even see other people's stuff, unless I'm supposed to act in compassion. Beware of acting out of pity: pity is a separation-judgment, the road to hell of good intentions. The value of pity is it's reflective quality, it will tend to make you count your own blessings by comparison, and gratitude fuels the Chakras which is powerful.
However, as a motive to heal another, it is unworkable because it is separation.
Sympathy is better, it leads to empathy=Unity and engages the power of compassion.
I clear a lot of stuff by asking my male supreme power, who manifests as Archangel Michael, to handle it. He does. The Archangels can do anything, but they are not allowed to interfere unless we ask them to.
Faith is like a muscle, the more you exercise it the stronger it gets. Practice, practice, practice..)
You can use these techniques on yourself, and it is good to do so. If you are first learning to settled, and connect to Source, do the 45 days of grounding 8x a day, and let what is loose wash away and erode on it's own before trying to actively seek out blockages.
If you try to do this work before you have become adept at keeping the flow moving and staying in a non-judgmental state, you might get ungrounded by the blockages and make them grow with the energy of your attention, instead of releasing them.
Discovering the blockages is very simple. First, get well settled and in a peaceful, attentive state. "Lock in" the incoming energy, so the light continues flowing without your conscious attention to it, and then, start to examine where it travels thru you, and where it does not go, within you. Look for the places where the light is not, starting with your toes and moving slowly up though your body as you clear stuff and the light starts flowing where it wasn't.
The more you do this, the easier it gets, because your unconscious co-operates with the process, willingly showing you what it wants your consent to release. It thinks cleaning your karmic closet is a fun game.
If stuff is stubborn to go, check your grounding... most likely you have become ungrounded by the effort. Shift your attention back to re-establishing the flow of light and the non-judgmental state, and then go back and clear the blockage.
When you are done clearing stuff each session, make that intention clear, or the process will continue on the unconscious level, but it will happen with karmic issues coming up externally in life events, instead of quietly in meditation. Messy. Tell your unconsious that you are done for now, with the intention to return to do more later.
If you or the person you are working on are not grounded, you might find you get a splitting headache from the energy being blocked by a closed crown chakra. Open the flower, and let the energy flow out.
If you have finished working on another person, wash your hands like Pontius pilate to symbilically rinse away anything of theirs that might still be lingering in you, and to disconnect the empathy so you are not still feeling somebody else's emotions, hours later.
If unwanted miracle is happening a lot, examine your projected thinking……

More aboutAyurveda / Principles / Diagnosis
Ayurveda is a holistic healing science which comprises of two words, Ayu and Veda. Ayu means life and Veda means knowledge or science. So the literal meaning of the word Ayurveda is the science of life. Ayurveda is a science dealing not only with treatment of some diseases but is a complete way of life.
Ayurveda is the ancient Indian medical science, the origin of which can be traced back to the Vedas, which are the oldest available classics of the world. Vedas are the ancient books of knowledge, or science, from India. They contain practical and scientific information on various subjects beneficial to the humanity like health, philosophy, engineering, astrology etc.
Ayurveda combines physical, psychological and spiritual therapies in an approach to health, that has addressed itself to the fundamental principles of good health and longevity. It has developed a tradition of medicine and a system of treatment based on the inherent ability of the human body to rejuvenate, to heal and to restore its natural balance.
Ayurveda is based on a system of Tridosha or Three Humours which classifies all individual constitutions of people, diseases, herbs and other non-herbal remedies and therapies according to whether they are Vata (air or nerve oriented), Kapha (water or mucoid type) or Pitta (fire type) [5] . Herbs that have pungent, sour and salty flavors stimulate fire; herbs that are astringent (drying) and bitter stimulate vata-air, or the nerve centered humour; herbs that are sweet, salty and sour stimulate or increase Kapha-water, or the mucoid humour.
In contrast, herbs that are sweet, sour and salty flavored ameliorate Vata-air, which means that they have a particular affinity for the nervous system. Herbs that are astringent, sweet and bitter ameliorate Pitta-fire, meaning that they are soothing and anti-inflammatory. Finally herbs that are pungent, bitter and astringent ameliorate Kapha-water, which means they tend to increase digestive fire, expel and dry excessive fluid build up in the system, including clearing excessive fat from the body, and the accumulation of cholesterol and other fatty deposits in the veins and arteries of the body.
This Indian system of medicine has laid down principles and methods of treatment for various diseases including chronic illnesses where there is no definite curative treatment, and symptomatic relief is the only existing treatment option.
Diagnosis
In Ayurvedic medicine, disease is always seen as an imbalance in the dosha system, so the diagnostic process strives to determine which doshas are underactive or overactive in a body. Diagnosis is often taken over a course of days in order for the Ayurvedic physician to most accurately determine what parts of the body are being affected.
To diagnose problems, Ayurvedic physicians often use long questionnaires and interviews to determine a person’s dosha patterns and physical and psychological histories.
Ayurvedic physicians also intricately observe the pulse, tongue, face, lips, eyes, and fingernails for abnormalities or patterns that they believe can indicate deeper problems in the internal systems. Some Ayurvedic physicians also use laboratory tests to assist in diagnosis.
Principles of Ayurveda
Ayurveda is bestowed upon us by our ancestors, who were eminent and wiser and having insight into our being. Basically Ayurveda is Health promotive - preventive - curative and nutritive - all self contained.
The two principle objectives of Ayurveda are :
(a.) "Swasthyas swasthya rakshanam" - To prolong life and promote perfect health ( add years to life and life to years )
(b.) "Aturasya vikar prashamanamcha" - To completely eradicate the disease and dysfunction of the body.
Ayurveda takes the individual as whole and seeks to re-establish harmony between all the constituents in the body. Perfect balance of the tripod - Mind, Body and Spirit means perfect health.
To understand Ayurvedic treatment, it is necessary to have an idea how the Ayurvedic system views the body. The basic life force in the body is prana, which is also found in the elements and is similar to the Chinese notion of chi.
In Ayurveda, there are five basic elements that contain prana: earth, water, fire, air, and ether. These elements interact and are further organized in the human body as three main categories or basic physiological principles in the body that govern all bodily functions known as the doshas. The three doshas are vata, pitta, and kapha. Each person has a unique blend of the three doshas, known as the person’s prakriti, which is why Ayurvedic treatment is always individualized. In Ayurveda, disease is viewed as a state of imbalance in one or more of a person’s doshas, and an Ayurvedic physician strives to adjust and balance them, using a variety of techniques.

Heart / Valve Block
HEART BLOCKS
We have developed medicine for Heart blocks (Coronary Artery Disease) where the patient can avoid by- pass surgery and angioplasty. By- pass surgery and Angioplasty is never a solution. The blocks are still there and a repeat by-pass may be recommended a few years later. Cholest-Ayurr removes the blocks in the arteries and blood flow increases. A 10% opening of the arteries result in increase in blood flow up to 40%.Cholest-Ayur has been licensed by the Drug Controllers " to reduce cholesterol in the blood and arteries" - in fact Cholest-Ayur removes the plaques itself. (Plaques are 70% calcium, 23% cholesterol and 70 % other waste products). Whether the patient has one block or several blocks, it is immaterial. Cholest-Ayur removes all the blocks whether it is in the heart or in the spine and makes the heart function normally and smoothly- within just 100 days. In the process trigiycerides and blood cholesterol too will be reduced. Cholest-Ayur is also extremely useful to those who have already done bye pass surgery. They will be able to lead a normal healthy life free from chest pain and other physical restrictions. After using our medicine, heart patients will feel the difference in their health within 30-50 days. After finalizing the 100 days course they may go for tests like ECG, TMT or Angiogram. Cholest-Ayur is an Ayrvedic preparation and has absolutely no side effects. This can be taken initially with your allopathic medicine. But when the patient feels better (say within 30-50 days) they can give up all allopathic drugs. Continue BP and Diabetic medicines if any. Avoid fatty, oily foods and follow diet restrictions. Initially for 30-50 days.

Bed Sore
BEDSORE-AYUR OIL
Soothing Oils to Cure and eliminate Sores of the Bedridden Bedsores result from pressure on the skin typically in patients during hospital recovery or whose mobility is limited in bed (e.g. paraplegics or quadriplegics). They are also called "pressure sores " or the medical term "decubitus ulcer".Causes: Pressure sores usually result from sustained pressure on your body. They are especially common in areas that are not well padded with muscle or fat and that lie just over a bone, such as your spine, tailbone (coccyx), shoulder blades, hips, heels and elbows. Because your skin and the under lying tissues are trapped between bone and a surface such as a wheel chair or bed, blood flow is restricted. This deprives tissue of oxygen and other nutrients and irreversible damage and tissue death can occur. Though the affected tissue may die in as little as 12 hours the injury may not be apparent for days or even weeks. Signs and Symptoms Stage –1 Initially a pressure sore appears as a persistent area of red skin that may itch or hurt and feel warm and spongy or firm to the touch. In blacks, Hispanics and other people with darker skin the mark may appear to have a blue or purple cast, or look flaky ashen. Stage 1 wounds are superficial and go away shortly after the pressure is relieved. Stage-2 At this point, some skin loss has already occurred – either in the epidermis, the outer most layer of the skin, in the dermis, the skin’s deeper layer, or in both. The wound is now an open sore that looks like a blister or an abrasion, and the surrounding tissues may show red or purple discoloration. If treated promptly, stage 2 sores usually heal fairly quickly.Stage–3 By the time a pressure ulcer reaches this stage, it has extended through all the skin layers down to the muscle, damaging or destroying the affected tissue and creating a deep, crater – like wound.
Stage-4 In the most serious and advanced stage, a large-scale loss of skin occurs, along with damage to muscle, bone and even supporting structures such as tendons and joints. Stage four wounds are extremely difficult to heal and can lead to lethal infections.Bedsores, Diabetic ulcers and burns have been very difficult experiences for patients till we discovered BEDSORE-AYUR OIL.There is no other cure for Bedsores anywhere else in the world.
Treatment Bedsore-AYUR oil for external application Usage- To be applied twice daily on the wound.

ALZHEIMERS’S
ALZHEIMERS’S DISEASE
This disease usually afflicts those over 60 years of age and the early manifestations of the disease come in the form of the failure of the patient to recognise other people. The brain, in short, loses its ability to analyse sensual perceptions. According to latest reports available, over 10 million people have died within a span of 20 years and 40 million more are suffering from this disease.Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is a common cause of dementia, with advancing age. It is a progressive dementing disorder clinically characterized by disintegration of intellect (amnesia, agnosia, apraxia, abstraction, reason etc), personality and emotions. Invariably the disorder leads to significant disabilities in occupational and social adjustments as well as in self-care. The cognitive disabilities are usually centered around a prominent memory disorder. Disorientation in time and place impairment of registration and recall, repetitions of word and deed, misidentification are noted. Early in the disease, other neurological systems appear normal. With time, nondescript tremor, rigidity, postural instability and extensor plantar responses may supervene.A view had been doing the rounds in the medical world that Alzheimer’s is caused by the degeneration of the brain cells due to ageing and hence incurable. It is estimated that over 30% of the population above 85 years of age are afflicted by this disease. But a startling discovery was recently made whereby it was established that Alzheimer’s disease was caused by a viral infection and not due to the degeneration of the brain cells. The findings of the Russian scientists that imbecility is caused due to prions, proved conclusively the earlier notions wrong.

Fibromyalgia / Rheumatic Arthiritis
RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS/ Fibromyalgia
Rheumatoid arthritis / Fibromyalgia is a chronic inflammatory illness. This illness affects about one percent of the world population. The inflammation can be controlled by medication. If the inflammation is not controlled, rheumatoid arthritis can cause the joints to become deformed. Patients suffering from rheumatoid arthritis often suffer from cycles of mild and severe symptoms. Consider the following symptoms and effects of rheumatoid arthritis: Joint swelling (small joints in hands and feet). Joint tenderness, stiffness and pain (especially in the morning). Hardened lumps (in joints) Cartilage and bone destruction. Most patients suffering from rheumatoid arthritis have antibodies called rheumatoid factors in their blood stream that are part of the inflammatory process of the disease. The presence of rheumatoid factor is used by doctors to help confirm a diagnosis of rheumatoid arthritis. The Time Magazine in its cover story wrote that Rheumatoid Arthritis is possibly a viral infection. In other words only the Anti Viral medicine, can cure Rheumatoid Arthritis.

Ayurveda
Developed in India more than 4000 years ago, Ayurveda is an integrated, physiotherapeutic medical system based upon the universal natural law of balancing the five elements (Ether, Air, Water, Fire and Earth) that make up the physical body. When one or more of these elements go out of balance because of improper life style, various diseases and mental disturbances occur. The Tridoshas called Vatha, Pitha and Kapha need to function in harmony with each other as well as with the five basic elements of the universe (Water, Air, Fire, Earth and Ether) to stay healthy. Most illnesses arise due to the imbalance in functioning of any one or two of the Tridoshas, which leads to the malfunctioning of the internal organs. Ayurveda basically strengthens the body’s immune system against diseases. It treats the root cause of the disease rather than the disease itself, thereby permanently curing the disease without recurrence.
Kundalini Emergency..
I will begin this blog by quoting from researchers and meditation practitioners who have studied the phenomena of kundalini emergency. I will give some definitions and identify the variety of symptoms that arise during a kundalini emergency.
I will then suggest some ways to deal with this energy when it is aroused and bring it back to its normal state of groundedness.
What is a Kundalini Emergency?
"When spiritual seekers or even those who do not consider themselves to be on a spiritual path find themselves experiencing levels of energy and awareness that they are unable to handle and for which they have no reference, then the result can be a state of emergency. In this state a person feels highly vulnerable and oversensitive to incoming stimuli. Typically they feel overwhelmed, fragmented, fearful, confused and disoriented. With their absorption in inner processes, they may not be able to look after even basic self care."
"In 1999, my life imploded. I was overtaken by strange and frightening physical symptoms heralding a process, which would change me in ways I never could have imagined. As my symptoms grew increasingly bizarre, a series of synchronicities as uncanny as the illness itself led me to the dumbfounding discovery that I was in the midst of a Kundalini awakening. I had not been doing any practices designed to arouse the Kundalini, nor had I ever personally known anyone who had gone through this experience."
"Kundalini is a process of revelation and spiritual renewal which radically alters our sense of self and our awareness of life. Because the benefits of Kundalini are widely touted in metaphysical and spiritual circles, many people are unaware of the difficulties it can present. Spiritual seekers (and teachers who give methods for awakening Kundalini) often assume that the only difficulty is in triggering the release of this transformative energy. Few are aware of the prolonged and sometimes arduous process that follows Kundalini arousal." [emphasis added]
"Long considered the most secret and sacred intent of yoga, Kundalini can also be awakened by meditation, prayer, bodywork, psychedelic drugs, a life crisis (such as extreme physical or emotional trauma, a near-death experience or the death of a loved one), childbirth, menopause, certain ascetic or esoteric sexual practices, or it can occur out of the blue. Kundalini is most likely to rise spontaneously in people who are spiritually inclined, creative, sensitive, open minded and open hearted—all risk factors I knew nothing about until after the fact."
What are the Symptoms?
"The following are common manifestations of the risen Kundalini:
Muscle twitches, cramps or spasms.
Energy rushes or immense electricity circulating the body
Itching, vibrating, prickling, tingling, stinging or crawling sensations
Intense heat or cold
Involuntary bodily movements (occur more often during meditation, rest or sleep): jerking, tremors, shaking; feeling an inner force pushing one into postures or moving one's body in unusual ways. (May be misdiagnosed as epilepsy, restless legs syndrome (RLS), or PLMD.)
Alterations in eating and sleeping patterns
Episodes of extreme hyperactivity or, conversely, overwhelming fatigue (some CFS [Chronic Fatigue Syndrome] victims are experiencing Kundalini awakening)
Intensified or diminished sexual desires
Headaches, pressures within the skull
Racing heartbeat, pains in the chest
Digestive system problems
Numbness or pain in the limbs (particularly the left foot and leg)
Pains and blockages anywhere; often in the back and neck (Many cases of FMS [Fibromyalgia syndrome] are Kundalini-related.)
[Emotional and psychological markers]
Emotional outbursts; rapid mood shifts; seemingly unprovoked or excessive episodes of grief, fear, rage, depression
Spontaneous vocalizations (including laughing and weeping)—are as unintentional and uncontrollable as hiccoughs
Hearing an inner sound or sounds, classically described as a flute, drum, waterfall, birds singing, bees buzzing but which may also sound like roaring, whooshing, or thunderous noises or like ringing in the ears.
Mental confusion; difficulty concentrating
[Spiritual or mystical markers]
Altered states of consciousness: heightened awareness; spontaneous trance states; mystical experiences (if the individual's prior belief system is too threatened by these, they can lead to bouts of psychosis or self-grandiosity)
Heat, strange activity, and/or blissful sensations in the head, particularly in the crown area
Ecstasy, bliss and intervals of tremendous joy, love, peace and compassion
Psychic experiences: extrasensory perception; out-of-body experiences; past life memories; astral travel; direct awareness of auras and chakras; contact with spirit guides through inner voices, dreams or visions; healing powers
Increased creativity: new interests in self-expression and spiritual communication through music, art, poetry, etc.
Intensified understanding and sensitivity: insight into one's own essence; deeper understanding of spiritual truths; exquisite awareness of one's environment (including "vibes" from others)
Enlightenment experiences: direct Knowing of a more expansive reality; transcendent awareness"
Some of these experiences are ecstatic, some are dysphoric—and they certainly interfere with the functioning of your personality if they are occurring out of your control.
(1) Pranic movements or Kriyas - includes a variety of involuntary muscle movements, and emotional catharsis
(2) Yogic phenomena - individuals may perform yoga postures or hand gestures (mudras), or they may spontaneously chant mantras
(3) Physiological symptoms - variety of psychosomatic symptoms that appear for many individuals undergoing the awakening of kundalini
(4) Psychological upheaval - kundalini awakening effects an emotional maelstrom as the ego's dominance is supplanted by emergence of the individual's authentic spiritual core
(5) Extra Sensory Experiences - various altered perceptions of the visual, auditory, olfactory and proprioceptive [sense of the body in space] senses arise as perception expands outside consensus reality
(6) Psychic Phenomena - precognition, telepathy, psychokinesis, and the awareness of auras and healing abilities arising with the awakening of kundalini.
(7) Mystical States of Consciousness - a perception of union with the cosmos, with a profound sense of peace and wisdom accompanying this state
How kundalini affects you when it won't go back down
There are three major types of phenomena that occur when the kundalini won't come back down:
(1) Your personality shuts down. When this occurs, you cannot function normally. Your will doesn't work. Your sense of self is distorted, ranging from feeling you are a witness viewing your body and life from outside (depersonalization) to feeling you are an omnipotent godlike being (grandiosity). You can't think logically. You cannot form normal relational bonds with others. Your attention is locked or fixed in an altered state of consciousness and it is difficult, if not impossible, to return to the ground state of awareness. This state is frightening and overwhelming.
(2) You experience emergence phenomena. You may experience any of the physiological and behavioral, emotional and psychological, and spiritual and mystical markers.
(3) You may enter samadhic trance. In samadhic trance, you are in a complete state of catatonia without; you are in ecstasy within. You cannot function, because your personality is shut down. You cannot communicate the ineffable beauty and majesty you are beholding. You may experience union with one of the higher nuclei of identity or ensouling entities in your Superconscious mind [for more information on this, see our description of these higher octave experiences .] You may find, however, that you cannot terminate this experience when you wish—you are trapped or locked in an ecstatic state of consciousness from which you cannot escape or emerge. This experience is both euphoric and terrifying. It is euphoric when you are immersed in the vistas of supernal bliss. It is terrifying when you can't come back.
What you can do
There seem to be several helpful measures that we have noticed may assist you with grounding the kundalini energy. If you are at the stage, where you are completely swept away, there may not be much that can be done; you just have to ride with it until the energy stabilizes at a deeper level.
You may wish to try these methods to help bring Kundalini back from a highly aroused state:
(1) Do a visualization: see the kundalini energy is drawn down to the base of your spine and is drawn down into the center of the earth.
(2) Bring the attention down to waking awareness and keep it there [at the medulla center where attention rests in the waking state of consciousness]. Stop meditating or altering your awareness until the kundalini is fully grounded again.
(3) Do some physical activity such as exercise, dance, or do heavy lifting to get yourself fully grounded in the body.
(4) Look at pictures of people that you love on the physical Plane (no Gurus or saints, please—the objective is to help you connect your emotional seed atom with your human relationships).
(5) Do some analytical work that engages your reason. Solve a puzzle. Read a technical book. Take apart a watch or fix something that is broken.
(6) Focus on just being a human being in your present body in your unique human life. Reflect upon what you have experienced in your life, and how blessed it is to have this human form. Appreciate your body, your ability to feel, your ability to move your body, to think. You need to draw the energy back down from the state of higher consciousness into your egoic state.
Once you have grounded the kundalini
stop doing striking of the chakras or squeezing them (bandhas)
stop doing any hyperventilative breathing (breath of fire, holodynamic breathing, rebirthing, Bastrika, etc.)
stop doing any mantras on the breath; avoid watching the breath as a technique until the kundalini fire subsides—this can be several weeks to months
stop doing any mantras that awaken the chakras (chakra bijas)
stop doing kundalini yoga (3HO) if you are practicing it
Recovery
Take it slow. Basic hatha yoga is probably OK. Concentration exercises (Raja Yoga), contemplation of the inner Guru (Guru Dhyan), focusing on the spiritual heart with methods like bhakti yoga and Nada Yoga, sound current techniques, or surat shabd yoga, and prayer should not rekindle these fires.
Your deep intuition will let you know when you are healed from this ordeal. How do you know? Your sense of harmony will be restored. You will begin to feel peace. The terror will finally release. You will walk on the earth and feel grateful for every step, grateful for every breath, grateful just to be alive. You will appreciate the beauty around you, the miracle taking place within you.
Final advice
Kundalini is entirely optional. You do not have to awaken the kundalini to get siddhis. They will come to you even if you don't want them. Let the Soul awaken the kundalini when it is time for you to cleanse the vehicles. You don't have to do this—and if it creates problems for you, please don't do it.
I do work with individuals having kundalini issues using meditation consultations. Try the suggestions above first. If they don't work, I can check you out and see what may be causing the problems. If I can help you, I'll tell you so. If I can't, I'll also tell you so.

Kundalini..How it works..
Seekers usually first encounter stories about the mysterious Kundalini Shakti in books they read written by Kundalini Masters and their disciples, or they may begin studying the translations of tantric texts. Seekers become fascinated with the variety of mystical experiences engendered by the awakening kundalini, the promise of supernatural powers, the possibility of becoming a god-like Master when the journey of the kundalini from the base of the spine to the top of the head is completed. Many may even begin to take up tantric practices to begin to awaken their kundalini.
Some seekers have had terrifying experiences as the result of attempting to awaken the kundalini. I have given some general guidelines in another post
Stages of Kundalini Awakening in the Vehicles
Kundalini is a powerful, Divine energy. In most people, this energy is dormant or working partially. When this energy is focalized, it rises within the vehicles and produces a variety of experiences.
Kundalini effects the state of awareness within your vehicles. As it is focalized, it may powerfully absorb your attention within, intensify the activity of your higher vehicles, and withdraw energy from your Conscious mind and your personality. In the deepest states of kundalini awakening in your vehicles, you enter samadhic trance.
In samadhic trance, you are unable to move, to speak, or even to think—you are completely merged in bliss and the ecstasy of the Soul and its higher octaves.
We characterize ten stages of kundalini awakening in the vehicles. [This is the relative depth of kundalini arousal.]
Stage
Level of Activation
Description
1
Dormant
Only the centers of the Conscious mind are operating. The contents of your higher vehicles of the Subconscious, Metaconscious and Superconscious mind do not enter your conscious awareness. Your attention is stabilized in the waking state of awareness. Your functioning is automatized and seamless, with no withdrawal of functioning. This is the fully grounded state of kundalini shakti.
Uses of Kundalini Awakening
Kundalini, under the supervision of a competent Adept, may be used for
Bringing energy and awareness into an inner vehicle
Cleansing or purifying an awakened vehicle, or working with the content of the unconscious
Awakening chakras and vivifying the dormant abilities (siddhis) of the Superconscious mind
Fixing awareness in a nucleus of identity or ensouling entity to confer identification and rebirth
Conveying sudden illumination by awakening the Superconscious mind, or enlightenment, by union with the Soul
Invoking the inner form of a god or goddess to grant boons or blessings, give answers to prayer, or bestow miraculous powers
Unfolding a nucleus of identity or ensouling entity along a spiritual evolutionary track, e.g., as a method of transformation
We can distinguish the objective of kundalini work by referring to its uses as 1 to 7.
While any work with kundalini poses some risk of promoting emergence phenomena and interfering with the functioning of the personality, some may be more detrimental to others.
For example, 4-1 (awakening the kundalini into the Subconscious mind to become aware of the chakras) is a relatively benign use.
But 5-2 (awakening the Kundalini into the unconscious mind with an aim of working out material in the unconscious mind) may have a greater risk of promoting emergence phenomena.
Using 7-5 (awakening the Kundalini to promote illumination and enlightenment of the Soul) may catalyze an individual's spiritual awakening and Gnosis. But if this state is not carefully managed and the kundalini is not brought back down, the individual can be left in a highly vulnerable state subject to illusions, hallucinations, and delusions—a temporary psychotic state.
The deep work used by Kundalini Adepts of Cosmic and Supracosmic lineages, 9-7, (raising the kundalini into higher octaves for the purpose of transforming a nucleus of identity or awakening a higher octave ensouling entity) poses the greatest risk of disruption of personality function. It is not uncommon for individuals doing this work to have psychotic episodes, serious emergence phenomena, and become re-identified with a higher nucleus of identity. In this state, they no longer are identified with their human personalities, but experience themselves as a "devotee of Shiva" or other pseudo-personality. [Gurus may not be particularly helpful in normalizing personality functioning when they give these individuals new spiritual names and ask them to wear special spiritual clothing, which further imprints them with this new state of identity.]
Normal Cycling of Kundalini
The normal progression of kundalini shakti is to have it rise from its ground state (stage 1) up to the ensouling entity (stage 7), and then return to its fully grounded state. This entire cycle of movement from ground to the state of illumination and back again constitutes on kundalini cycle or round. This is normally accomplished, using a gentle mantra on the breath, in 30 to 45 minutes. Most practitioners who practice in this way (use five) have few problems with emergence phenomena, and usually report that the experience was renewing and revivifying.
Those who use more strenuous or drastic measures, however, typically increase the incidence of emergence phenomena and untoward effects. These include practices such as:
Striking the base of the spine
Squeezing or constricting an anatomical nexus (bandha)
Hyperventilative breathing (Bastrika, breath of fire, rebirthing, holodynamic breathing, bellows breath)
Using vehicular bija mantras to "open" chakras or clear out obstructions in the central channel (sushumna), the left hand channel (ida) or the right hand channel (pingala)
Using breath techniques to alter the circulation of energy in the ida and pingala, or attempting to modify this energy by healing methods
There is also usually a greater prevalence of emergence phenomena and disruption of personality functioning when the purpose of kundalini awakening is to
awaken chakras to gain powers (use three)
lock awareness into a nucleus of identity or ensouling entity (use four)
invoke an archetypal or spiritual being (use six)
unfold a nucleus of identity as a transformational method (use seven)
Progression of Kundalini Experiences
These octaves of phenomenal experience range from Physical to Essential. They are listed below.
The Lotuses of the Chakras (Physical Octave)
The Syllables and Sounds of the Chakras (Etheric Octave)
The Colors and Qualities of the Chakras (Astral-Emotional Octave)
The Deities of the Chakras (Causal-Mental Octave)
Chakras of the Soul (Essential Octave)
It is not surprising then that Tantric schools follow this same progression in recommending increasingly difficult visualizations to their students.
Kundalini in the Subconscious Mind
When we first encounter the kundalini in the Subconscious mind, we see its energy rises through the central channel of the spinal tube (sushumna), and concomitantly activates the left hand (ida) and right hand (pingala) channels. Blockages in the left-hand channel are linked with Pralabdha Karma. Obstructions in the right-hand channel are associated with Kriyaman Karma. Plugs in the central channel mirror the unawakened spiritual evolutionary potentials of the Subtle Realm [the 3 1/2 spiral turns at the base of the spine] and the Planetary Realm [the seven chakras], comprising Adi Karma.
Attempting to purify or force open these three channels through heroic measures has no effect on spiritual evolution in the Subtle or Planetary Realms. Instead, it creates moderate to severe imbalances in the vehicles of the Subconscious mind.
These imbalances may be marked by:
Sudden rushes of energy or dizziness
Rapid mood swings
Illusions of perception
Lapses in memory (spacing out)
Pain that moves around in the body that can not be linked to a medical etiology
Getting lost in reverie or daydreaming, or involuntarily dissociating
Paranoid or delusional beliefs
The natural unfolding of the Soul, by distinction, opens these channels in correspondence with its spiritual cutting edge. We therefore strongly recommend that seekers do not perform any practices at the level of the Subconscious mind that interfere with this alignment.
Do not try to remove blockages in the right, left or central channels through any means.
Do not repeat transformational (bija) mantras to open the chakras, as these may inappropriately open these channels, and create imbalances.
Hatha Yoga stimulates the chakras of the Subconscious mind and circulates energy through them. Avoid sustained hyperventilative breathing that forces open these areas of blockage. [When breathing into these blockages, you should feel relaxation and discharge of tension. If you feel pain, numbness, tingling, or burning: stop the breathing practice immediately]. Using bandhas with this sustained hyperventilative breathing may intensify these symptoms.
Radiative healing (Rei Ki and similar practices) that removes these blockages prematurely may also pose risks of imbalance.
These blockages may provide insulation for the nervous system against the higher energy voltage that operates in advanced states of spiritual evolutionary development. Removing them before your ensouling entity and its vehicles have been gradually re-tuned to these higher Initiations may overstimulate your physical nervous system. Symptoms of overstimulation include hyperalertness, difficulty sleeping, extreme agitation or irritability, emotional outbursts, lability or mood dysregulation, and interference with physiological functioning (psychosomatic illness).
Emotional distortion (glamour), with hankering after spiritual fame and supernatural powers may motivate some aspirants to attempt to take a "kundalini shortcut" to spiritual advancement. We encourage the seeker to be patient and not give into these impulses. When driven by these powerful passions, the seeker may be drawn to excesses, including adopting inappropriate and frankly dangerous practices that belong to other octaves of the Great Continuum of Consciousness [e.g., when a seeker, polarized at the Planetary Octave, begins using practices suitable for Supracosmic development].
Leaving the kundalini raised into even Subconscious alignment withdraws energy from five centers of the Conscious mind—ego, mental seed atom, emotional seed atom, physical seed atom, and waking awareness. If kundalini does rise up in stage four (high) activity into the chakras of the Subconscious mind, be sure to guide it back down into its fully grounded state. When grounding has successfully been achieved, the energy of the kundalini should fully animate these five centers of the Conscious mind.
Higher Octaves of Kundalini
While many aspirants who meditate only experience this awakening of this energy into their Subconscious mind, we point out that this is the first of twelve stages. It is less common to have kundalini awakening up to the level of union with the Soul (enlightenment). It is rarer still to have kundalini rise into union with nuclei of identity and ensouling entities of Cosmic, Supracosmic and Transcendental octaves. Rarest of all is when the kundalini passes through all of these higher octaves and comes to rest in its origin.
The ability to raise the kundalini from its ground state to its origin and guide it back to full groundedness is a marker of Kundalini Mastery. Through comprehensive study of the system of chakras or centers in each of the higher vehicles combined with the ability to gain finer and finer control of the energy of the Kundalini Shakti leads to Kundalini Mastery.
Mastery of Kundalini
Careful control of the energy of the Kundalini Shakti grants the ability to
1. Optimally energize any vehicle of consciousness for use
2. Awaken awareness through the whole range of its potential, from
Micromicroform
Microform
Form
Center or chakra
Vehicle
Integrated module of vehicles with a center of integration (nucleus of identity or ensouling entity)
Subplane
Plane
Band of the Great Continuum of Consciousness (e.g., awareness of the entire Planetary Realm)
To simultaneous awareness of multiple bands of the Great Continuum of Consciousness
3. Turn on specific abilities or siddhis to operate in the Subconscious, Metaconscious, and Superconscious bands of the mind
4. Focalize the nurturing, purifying and healing aspects of the Kundalini Shakti in a specific vehicle
5. Arouse the kundalini in others and guide it to rise to a specific stage of awakening; guide their kundalini back down to its fully grounded state
6. Utilize kundalini to awaken the vehicle of a spiritual being, god or goddess, so that the wisdom and grace of this being is channeled through the personality
7. Supervise and safely guide the Kundalini Shakti through those rare sections of the Path where kundalini is used as a transformational modality. The faculty to awaken and ground the kundalini and to grant Initiation is conferred through the cerebral, thalamic, and cervical centers of this form. The ability to perceive the relative activation of the kundalini and the spiritual evolutionary purification of others is mediated through the thoracic, lumbar, sacral and coccyceal centers of this form.
Understood and mastered, the Kundalini Shakti awakens the multi-faceted potentials of the entire mind. Misunderstood, misused and awakened inappropriately, kundalini leads to disruption of personality functioning, kundalini emergency syndrome, and psychosis.
If you don't know what you are doing, leave the sacred fires of life alone. Your mind is a terrible thing to destroy.
Some seekers have had terrifying experiences as the result of attempting to awaken the kundalini. I have given some general guidelines in another post

Microform

Vehicle
Integrated module of vehicles with a center of integration (nucleus of identity or ensouling entity)
Subplane

Illusions about Kundalini..
There are a variety of odd notions about what the kundalini is and does when it is aroused.
Illusions
Kundalini has nothing to do with sexual fluids or ojas. The kundalini is a fiery, Divine energy. It is not a fluid. It does not increase with the accumulation of semen in the male prostate, or ejaculatory and lubricating fluids in the female's Bartholin's glands. These fluids are a reservoir of prana, or life force, which people often confuse with the kundalini.
Sexual tantra, which in some individuals can bring about a partial awakening of the kundalini, does not produce enlightenment. Sexual tantra (e.g., sustained sexual intercourse, karezza, or maithuna) can awaken some individual's kundalini shakti into a Subplane of the Biophysical Universe. This is very ecstatic, but has nothing to do with enlightenment. Enlightenment occurs when your attention becomes fixed on your ensouling entity and you discover its eternal nature. You do not need to have sex to achieve this state.
The awakening of the kundalini does not automatically bring spiritual powers over nature (siddhis). Spiritual powers are chosen and anchored by the ensouling entity when the siddhi yantra that embodies them have been integrated into the vehicles of the Superconscious mind. They don’t automatically appear like magic.
The kundalini only rarely can be used to actually produce spiritual transformation, and this is a very dangerous practice that must be carefully supervised by an Adept. It is, for example, used to make the transition between the Lower and Higher Subtle Realms. It is also used during the Fifth Planetary Initiation. Don't try this one at home without the coach.
Kundalini raised up into Cosmic and Supracosmic Octaves, beyond an individual's spiritual cutting edge, does produce deep Samadhi—but often creates many problems. When the energy of the kundalini is raised beyond your ensouling entity, the higher octave of your will cannot control this energy to bring it back down. If a Kundalini Master or Guru is not present to assist you to bring it back, you may be locked in Samadhi with the kundalini burning ever upward. Then your life becomes a total nightmare.
The kundalini energy rises through all three channels—sushumna, ida and pingala—simultaneously. You will certainly run into problems if you try to tamper with nature's wisdom and "balance" this energy, by moving the energy from one channel to another by healing attunements or breath techniques. The kundalini has been rising for thousands of years: it really knows what to do—you don't have to help it.
The kundalini, when it passes through unawakened aspects of an inner vehicle or unawakened band of the continuum produces emergence phenomena. This is not a sign of spiritual attainment: it is a catharsis of your unconscious mind. Without the ability to integrate this material, it has little therapeutic benefit.
Keeping the kundalini raised will certainly keep you in a state of Samadhi, but it will seriously hamper your ability to function in your personality. Remember, when the kundalini rises, it shuts off the functioning of the personality. This means that you lose
your sense of identity and rootedness in your personal history (ego)
your ability to think and test reality (mental seed atom)
your ability to feel your emotions and relate to others as human beings (emotional seed atom)
your ability to move, and sense what is going on in your body (physical seed atom)
your ability to anchor your attention in the waking state so your personality functions seamlessly and automatically
Being able to produce this state of catatonia is extremely useful if you are planning to remain motionless without thought in a state of paralysis and suspended animation for long periods of time, so that birds can build nests in your hair or people can bury you alive. It is not a useful state if you are planning to work, study, or live any semblance of a normal life.
If you do not know what you are doing, please do not attempt to awaken the kundalini. Only an Adept, who has the power to both raise and lower the kundalini at will, is competent to guide you in its correct awakening.
